Bluesky is still a shorter-post, X-shaped network, but its audience has been growing fast as people look for an alternative feed. fanout schedules to Bluesky from the same draft as everything else, with images attached the same way. Replies to your posts land in the comments inbox alongside your other networks. Analytics for Bluesky isn't available yet, but everything else works the same as X.

Yes. A simple emoji is one code point, so it counts as one here. Emoji built from several parts (skin tones, flags, family emoji) are several code points and count as several. Bluesky may weight characters differently, so leave a little room if you are close to the cap.
fanout splits the text into a reply thread (up to 10 posts), breaking at paragraphs, lines, sentences or words, and publishes it as a chain. Posting by hand, you need to cut it yourself; the thread splitter does this for you.
It is the count fanout uses when it checks a post, based on Bluesky's documented limit as of 2026-10-25. Networks change limits and count some characters differently, so treat a post within a few characters of the cap as unconfirmed until Bluesky accepts it.
