Replies are where a post turns into a conversation, and they are spread over every network's own notifications. fanout has a Comments page that collects them for the networks that allow it.
The Comments page works for X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, Threads and Bluesky. The other networks (LinkedIn, TikTok, Telegram, Facebook, Pinterest, Discord, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Google Business Profile and Slack) do not have a comments inbox in fanout yet, so replies there stay on the network.
On the left is a list of your posts that have comments, from the connected networks. Select a post to read its comments, with replies nested under the comment they answer. Your own replies are marked "You".
Three tabs filter the list, each with a count: Unanswered, All and Hidden. A comment counts as unanswered when it is not yours, can be replied to, is not hidden and has no reply from you yet. You can also filter by network, and by profile if you use profiles.
The page offers these actions.
Reply, like and hide buttons appear only when the network allows that action for that comment. If a comment has no Hide button, the network does not offer hiding it through fanout. The page does not offer deleting comments.
Type your answer and press Reply, or Ctrl or Cmd with Enter. Reply and next sends it and moves to the next comment waiting for an answer. Like and skip likes the comment, where the network allows it, and moves on without replying. J and K move between comments when you are not typing.
A reply is sent as a normal reply from your account on that network, so read it as the commenter will.
The Suggest replies button offers a few draft answers to the comment you are on. Clicking one puts it in the reply box. It is only a draft: edit it, or write your own. Nothing is sent until you press Reply.
Suggestions do not know your history with a person. Check that a suggested reply fits the comment, especially for complaints or questions that need a real answer.
